Abraham Ogunlende is a Nigerian contemporary artist born and residing in Lagos, Nigeria. Abraham draws inspiration from minimalist compositions, culturally blended images, as well as close friends/family- a style he refers to as Modern Afro-Minimalism, flourishing in acrylic pastel colours, faceless subjects and the connections between society and personal growth.

Representing his personal experiences within the context of a young African who straddles many cultures, Abraham aims to tell a visual story of a generation keen on showcasing their heritage in a global world. Ogunlende recently exhibited his series “In Pursuit Of Everything Beautiful” at A Whitespace Lagos, in which he created works that touch on socially relevant themes, focused on the idea of paying attention to the details in our lives while on our daily pursuits.
