Aislinn F is a northern Irish/Zambian artist and designer based in London whose work explores identity, race, and femininity through an Afrofuturistic lens. Her art reflects her journey of navigating her identity, dual heritage and complex experiences while – moving between countries during childhood and adolescence.
Through portraiture, she creates spaces where complex identities exist authentically and unapologetically. Her work deliberately claims space, refusing to minimize or explain itself. Each piece becomes a vessel for exploring the nuanced intersections of culture, race, gender, and personal history.
Her work continues evolving as I use representation as a tool for challenging stereotypes and celebrating identity. She creates spaces designed to resonate and empower, where viewers, particularly Black women, can see themselves reflected, celebrated and validated as they are – artistic affirmations of our right to exist boldly, take up space, and express themselves without apology.
